Turns out my leg is now infected. Not good for animal bites.
Home health care person wanted me to go directly to hospital for an antibiotic IV drip but instead I talked her into ordering a specialist to come by and check on the wound and maybe prescribe a different more effective one. No one to look after the animals.
Spoke directly to my GP who said he is concerned and wants me to come see him tomorrow if I don't hear from the specialist by noon.
Also, the person doing Novichok's evaluation called and we had a nice chat about her. Her 10 day observation period is up on Weds. and they will be making a decision as to whether or not they can put her up for adoption then.
I told her what a sweetheart Novichok is and that it's my fault for not closing the door. I let her know I lived with that cat in my office and around the house for 7 weeks and she would make someone a great companion... as long as they don't have dogs.
I also told her if they decide they can't put her up for adoption, then I would come down and get her and bring her back here. Not going to let this happenstance cost her her little life. So either way, Novichok is going to be OK.
The infection makes me very tired. I'm sleeping a lot as a result. Now it makes sense.
Anyway, thought I would let you guys know what is up. Will give you an update as soon as I know something. Take care.

Novichok was sitting on my lap and Beau walked up, she got startled and freaked out and chased him out of the office. I got up, she was next to the door on the inside.
I walked wide around her to see if Beau was alright in the hall and Novichok attacked me biting me above the ankle on my left leg. She bit a chunk out of it, tore it up pretty bad and just happened to hit an artery.
I bled a lot and had to call 911. They took one look and sent me to hospital where I officially became, I think, the first and only cat attack victim on record there.
I am home now and Novichok has been taken by animal control. They are going to keep her for observation for 10 days to make sure no rabbies and give her an evaluation to see if she can be adopted. She was calm and docile when they picked her up.
She is a good cat. She just freaked over Beau. Don't know why she attacked me when I walked by. Still scared I guess but she knew it was me.
Maybe getting even for taking her kittens and 'fixing' her... probably didn't think she was broke.
Anyway... Novi is gone. Momma cat is gone. Kittens are gone. Izzy is gone.
I hope she will be fine. Just no dogs in the new forever home.
I lost a lot of blood but otherwise I'm alright. And she will be to I hope.
Thus ends the kittens arc.
I'm gonna miss these guys.

A little update into what has been going on the last two days. Got the car looked after and that's not great but a kitten rescue place came by checked out the kittens, were very happy, made plans to pick em up on Monday to get them (and IZZY!) ready for adoption. I'm gonna bleed less, yes, but I am going to miss em. They are like family already but they will find good loving homes and I am happy for that. I got sick at the car place, there for 4 1/2 hours yesterday just to get the bad news. Anyway, I am very happy with the kittens. They did great. Very healthy, no fleas, she could handle them with no problems. They are Grade A kittenstock, healthy friendly and ready to start their new exciting lives. So I got one weekend to grift with em before saying goodbye. Please send Bandaids.

Went to cardiologist today to receive results of all those tests I have been taking. Bad news. Doc says I will be around for a while to come. I'm doing better. Somehow. But a few issues now in arteries which is being cause by smoking. So, gotta stop.
Thanks to you guys I was able to go to the pet store and get GOOD formula and can kitten food along with GOOD kitten dry food.
That made me very very happy. Thank you.
About 6 weeks I will be looking to have them ready for their new families and that gives me another 2 weeks with em. I really enjoy doing this. I hope you enjoy watching.
They play with me like one of them now. They are all seemingly very healthy and happy and MommaCat is overjoyed when I feed em so they don't gnaw on her nipples.
Have a great night guys and enjoy this little moment of kitten zen and remember the better parts of us aren't going to perish just yet, not to the likes of TrumpyBear and his gaggle of greedy aristocrats.
The beauty of this world, of our species will continue. And that's not a pipe dream or hopium. It's just a fact of nature... it's in our DNA and it's gonna take a lot more than the Orange BedWetter to crush it.

Nothing quite like a relaxing Easter Sunday snuggle after a big breakfast. Happy Easter folks especially those of you away from home for the holiday.
Started them on formula last night. They are taking it well. Lots of energy after they feed then they crash. Kinda me. Not one peep from the 3 kitten rescue not for profits I contacted beginning of last weekend. Novichok is doing well.

One of the little ones has found his/her name: Vicki Lester from the Judy Garland version of A Star is Born... cus to hell with Gaga.
Could it be a malign malignant influence from another world? You be the judge. On another note: they are now coming out to greet me. They are getting more curious about their environment, exploring and checking out what Novichok is eating. I will clean up the area and move her food dish this morning.
