Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to address a joint meeting of Congress next month, a move that is sparking calls for protests across the United States.
Congressional leaders announced July 24 as the date of the address late Thursday, almost one week after they invited the Israeli prime minister to speak before American lawmakers.
In their letter to Netanyahu, House Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell - both Republicans - said the invitation was extended to “build on our enduring relationship and to highlight America’s solidarity with Israel.”
The invitation, however, was not met with unanimous approval among the Democrats.
In a statement, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said that despite “clear and profound disagreements” with Netanyahu, he had joined in the request for him to speak...

Major point of this, seen in forum comment yesterday is firstly, arm with what, at what size/scale, and who exactly?
ReplyDeleteDoesn't say of course and point is that it obviously won't be anything big, scary, high tech high cost that could get "outside proper inventory control" in any of those countries and be secreted to the west to analyze/reverse engineer.
So his latest claim or you can call it "threat" by dear leader will be just like every other one---a meaningless bs bluster empty threat, never followed thru on. like every other one of his threats. But he will be able to take credit next time soon when the houthis hit something.
So why this latest "threat" or promise---dear leader is pissed that the houthis are showing him up and badly for spine and taking action, with barely 1% of the resources of russia! They've shot down 6 (claimed) RQ-9 Reaper drones HERE, IN RAPID SUCCESSION, VS ONLY 1 IN 2019 AND 1 IN 2022 PREVIOUSLY.
And they have hit some number of naval sea vessels, including that one cargo ship absolutely documented to have sunk.
Meanwhile russia still is having all manner of (small cutter size so far) boats/ships sunk off crimea and even in ports there, because of all the overhead big surv drones up above carrying on totally unchecked, with his bigger fleet ships having to hide well off to the east of crimea in the black sea to stay out of range!
So this way, near future any new claims of hits on anything naval or air by the houthis can just be claimed to be "russian", as opposed to so far where the claim is those reapers are downed by IRAN SA-6, and it could be altho 46000 feet up u still need a radar to find it first:
